Deborah E. Bass
Deborah Bass, former staff of The General Board of Global Ministries, has spent more than 25 years in leadership roles in the United Methodist Church. She began her career as a Community Developer, and culminated her service to the general church in 2008 as the Deputy General Secretary of Administration at the General Board of Global Ministries. Her background and experience working with urban churches and communities has provided her with the necessary experience to lead the Multi-Ethnic Center for Ministry. Deborah is recognized as a talented manager, administrator, negotiator, team builder and community organizer.
In 2009, Ms. Bass returned to her roots in Social Welfare to found Bass Eldercare Resources, LLC where she uses her skills to provide eldercare services for individuals and families.
Deborah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, and a Master of Social Work, Administration/Community Organization from the University of California, Los Angeles.
In accepting the position as Executive Director of the Multi-Ethnic Center for Ministry, Deborah has come back to her roots as a church-based community developer working with multi-ethnic leaders, caucuses, groups and networks in the Northeastern Jurisdiction.
