Resources and Services
The Multi-Ethnic Center for Ministry is a vital resource for ACTION:
Advocacy: We confront racism and address racial and multi-ethnic concerns through various communication channels, seeking improved perspectives, policies and practices to benefit not only people of color but all people across the spectrum of our global church and society.
Collaboration: We seek and create opportunities to work creatively with diverse colleagues and partners who share our vision to foster multicultural values, leadership and ministries for the discipling of God's people and the transformation of God's world.
Training: We work with partners to help provide education and training for laity and clergy in creative multicultural, multi-ethnic ministry that addresses challenges and opportunities in various contexts.
Information: We employ a variety of communication channels --reports, speeches, meetings, dialogues, seminars, print and electronic media, etc.-- to inform United Methodist leaders about multi-ethnic ministry concerns, perspectives, challenges and opportunities.
Organizing: We help organize, produce and support gatherings, events and resources to promote multi-ethnic ministry and address multiracial concerns among audiences across the jurisdiction and the denomination.
Networking: We seek and work with dedicated partners to advance multi-ethnic values and ministry, while connecting leaders, churches, agencies, seminaries, caucuses and programs in dynamic, multually productive relationships.
